    1. Fuck Islam and cursed be the pedophile Prophet Muhammad. Islam is the fastest growing religion because it uses fear and intimidation to grow. Those who wish to leave Islam are met with the sword. Children in Iran who are Christian must deny Christ or be expelled from school. Christian children in Mali must recite Muslim prayers in order to eat.Again I say fuck Islam and the pedophile prophet of death Muhammad cursed be his name. I will never cower to Islam and I damn sure will never bow to Allah. I'll continue to bad-mouth Islam until it is illegal and then I will take arms against Islam. If it's not a bloody painful insulting degrading mess it ain't Islam. Never cower and never fear Islam. Freedom and Western Civilization will prevail over evil.

Allah guides those who are humble.

If you aren't arrogant but humble and in search of truth then will certainly find that islam is the only religion.

Also read the Quran in context. It never said to kill innocent people , the orders to kill disbelievers was only during the time of wars.

See the Ashtiname { letter to Christians by prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him)} in which he says to protect the Christians till last day( day of judgement) and he orders that it should not be broken by muslims till last day.

Also death penalty was not given to anybody during the time of Holy prophet , unless they bring corruption in the land.

    3. Critics as usual apply ‘cut and choose’ approach with regards to this passage (Quran 2:191). They only quote, “And kill them wherever you find them…(2:191). However, when we read the passage in its context (2:190-195) it says opposite what they portray of the verse.

      Quran 2:190 – 195

2:190 Fight in the way of God those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. God does not like transgressors.
2:191 And kill them wherever you find them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah [Persecution] is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.
2:192 And if they cease, then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
2:193 Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah [Persecution] and [until] worship is for God. But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the oppressors.
2:194 [Fighting in] the sacred month is for [aggression committed in] the sacred month, and for [all] violations is legal retribution. So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you. And fear God and know that God is with those who fear Him.
2:195 And spend in the way of God and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, God loves the doers of good.

    4. It’s important whenever one reads a Quranic verse, to read it in its context. As you have read, critics only quote the part which suites them, they isolate previous verses and the ones after. When the passage is examined in context, it is clear that nowhere does it sanction the killing of innocent people. From verse 2:190 to 2:195, when read, Allah makes it evident to fight those only who fight them, fighting in self-defence.

Another thing some love to do with the verse is, change the Arabic word’s meaning. Example, the Arabic word ‘Fitna’ used in 2:191 and 2:193, they deceptively have translated the word as ‘disbelief’. So, when it’s read in that perspective, the passage is implying to fight to those who are disbelievers, just because of their religion. This again when we examine it, it will turn out to be a lie. The Arabic word ‘Fitnah’ means ‘persecution’, ‘corruption’, ‘sedition’. But when the word ‘Fitnah’ is used in verse 2:191 and 2:193 it means ‘persecution’.

      Non-Muslim Translation

      Arthur John Arberry

2:191 And slay them wherever you come upon them, and expel them from where they expelled you; persecution is more grievous than slaying. But fight them not by the Holy Mosque until they should fight you there; then, if they fight you, slay them — such is the recompense of unbelievers.

      Arabic Word 'Fitna'

The Arabic word for disbelief is ‘kufr’. The following Definition(s) on the Arabic word ‘Fitna’.

Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies Hayrettin Yücesoy writes

“One of the most frequently mentioned portents of the end of time in Muslim prophecies is civil disorder, fitna. Yet contrary to what one might expect, in none of the many instances in which the term fitna (civil disorder) is mentioned in the Quran is it connected to end of time events. In the Qur’anic text, fitna refers to a sort of trial: “And know that your wealth and your children are a trial [fitna], and that with God is a mighty wage.” In other verses, the term connotes discord, controversy, and dissension: “As for those in whose hearts is swerving, they follow the ambiguous part, desiring dissension [fitna], and seeking to explain it; and none knows its meaning, save only God.” Fitna may also mean seduction: “Children of Adan! Let not satan tempt, [v. yaftatin], you as he brought your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their garments to show them their shameful parts.” On other occasions, it describes chaos and civil disorder: “As for the unbelievers, they are friends one of another. Unless you do this, there will be strife [fitna] in the land and great corruption.” Finally it refers to plotting and acts of conspiracy: “Had they gone forth among you, they would only have increased you in trouble, and run to and fro in your midst, seeking to stir up sedition [fitna] between you; and some of you would listen to them; and God knows the evildoers.” A similar meaning is given in the following verses, where conspiracy against the community and its social and religious status quo is condemned: Persecution [fitna] is more grievous than slaying. But fight them not by the Holy Mosque until they should fight you there; then if they fight you, slay them- such is the recompose of unbelievers.” Even the ban on fighting during the holy months is lifted in cases of the greater danger of persecution: “Fighting in it is a heinous thing, but to bar from God’s way, and disbelief in him, and the Holy Mosque, and to expel its people from it- that is more heinous in God’s sight; and persecution [fitna] is more heinous than slaying.” [1]

    5. Ibn Kathir, Tafsir Ibn Kathir,

“Concerning the verse “If two groups of believers fall to fighting” Q. 49.9) and “fight against them until there is no ‘fitnah’” (Q.2:193), he answered: “We done all this in the time of Prophet. At that time, we came minority so that a Moslem was be faced by fitnah in his religion, either he would be killed or would be the victim of oppression. When the Moslem community grows as powerful adherents, killing oppression has gone.” Based on this argument, we can conclude that ‘fitnah’ should be defined as any oppression or forcing Moslem to do or not to do something against his rights as human being; all this being ratio legis or cause to proclaim fight against oppressor or those who want to kill them.” [2]

Arabic-English Dictionary of Qur’anic Usage. Elsaid M. Badawi and Muhammad Abdel Haleem,

“f-t-n to purify gold and silver by smelting them; to burn; to put to the test, to afflict (in particular as a means of testing someone’s endurance); to disrupt the peace of a community; to tempt, to seduce, to allure, to infatuate. Of this root, six forms occur 60 times in the Qur’an fatana 17 times futina six times; futun once; maftun once and fitnatun 34 times.
fitnatun [n.] 1 test (8:28) your possessions and your children are only a test 2 affliction, trial (22:11) but if a trial befalls him, he reverts to his old ways [lit. falls flat on his face, turns back to front] 3 persecution (2:191) and drive them out from where they drove you out, for persecution is more serious than killing 4 dissension, discord, civil unrest, infighting, mutiny (9:47) they would have scurried around in your midst, trying to sow discord among you 5 temptation, allurement (2:102) yet they [both] never taught anyone until they first said, ‘we are but a temptation-do not [fall for us and] reject the faith’ 6 treachery, defection, desertion (33:14) but if it [the city] had been entered from [all] its sides, with them in it, and they were asked to commit treachery, they would have committed it.” [3]

Arabic-English Lexicon,Edward William Lane commenting on the Arabic word ‘Fitna’,

      fitna 1
      [4]
In conclusion, as we have examined the Arabic word ‘fitna’, and the context of passage, the verse does not promote the killing of innocent people. As shown, the passage shows that Muslims were allowed to fight those who were persecuting the Muslims, 1400 years ago. In other words, the passage sanctioned fighting in self-defence.

  8. Contrary to what you said, Answering Christianity is a flop. Answering Islam debunks it very systematically. Wikiislam changes are not approved unless the editor provides reference.

You always daydream of "clearing my doubts". Sorry to say, i am well learned in Quran, ahadith and tafsirs. You can read my articles proving the falsehood of Quran in this very page. You can simply google, post some Muslim defense link, that doesnt mean the error is not there. Unless you think open mindedly, you will never find the truth.

As for your claim that death penalty was there for "only those who spread corruption in the land", let me tell you what are the two biggest corruptions according to Islam - disbelief and polytheism. If a person leaves Islam and reveals it, the penalty is death. This is proven in my article "Death Penalty for Leaving Islam".

    ReplyDelete
  9. Penalty is for those who "spread" corruption.

The following is an example of how the Prophet dealt with apostasy:

A bedouin gave the Pledge of allegiance to Allah's Apostle for Islam. Then the bedouin got fever at Medina, came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Cancel my Pledge," But Allah's Apostle refused. Then he came to him (again) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Cancel my Pledge." But the Prophet refused Then he came to him (again) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Cancel my Pledge." But the Prophet refused. The bedouin finally went out (of Medina) whereupon Allah's Apostle said, "Medina is like a pair of bellows (furnace): It expels its impurities and brightens and clears its good. [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 9, #318]
Notably, as Dr. M. E. Subhani explained in his book:
This was an open case of apostasy. But the Prophet neither punished the Bedouin nor asked anyone to do it. He allowed him to leave Madina (of his own will). Nobody harmed him.” [Apostasy in Islam (New Delhi, India: Global Media Publications, 2005), pp. 23-24.]

This is the earliest musannaf (a hadith collection arranged in topical chapters) work in existence:
Some people accepted Islam during the period of Umar bin Abdul Aziz, who is called the fifth rightful caliph of Islam. All these people renounced Islam sometimes later. Maimoon bin Mahran the governor of the area wrote to the caliph about these people. In reply Umar bin Abdul Aziz ordered him to release those people and asked him to re-impose jizya on them. [Musannaf Abdur Razzaq, pp. 171-10, cited in M. E. Subhani,Apostasy in Islam (New Delhi, India: Global Media Publications, 2005), pp. 23-24. Abdur Razzaq ibn Humama (d. 211 AH). ]

" also check these verses:3:90-91 /2:27/2:39. just look at this verse:)Quran9:66, : لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا قَدْ كَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنْ نَعْفُ عَنْ طَائِفَةٍ مِنْكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ " Sahih International: Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals. "
      IS NOT THAT CLEAR YET?

  13. But if they turn away, catch them and slaughter them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.” (4:89)

This verse has been misquoted like the previous verse, out of context. Here is the full passage:

4:88-91 Why should ye be divided into two parties about the Hypocrites? Allah hath upset them for their (evil) deeds. Would ye guide those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way? For those whom Allah hath thrown out of the Way, never shalt thou find the Way. They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): so take not friends from their ranks until they forsake the domain of evil in the way of God (from what is forbidden). But if they revert to [open] enmity, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks. Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (Of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If God had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then God hath opened no way for you (to war against them). Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto; if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever ye get them; in their case We have provided you with a clear argument against them

So in the same manner as the first verse, this verse also only commands Muslims to fight those who practice oppression or persecution, or attack the Muslims. And in the event of a battle, the same laws of war are in place and a Muslim who transgresses limits should prepare for the punishment of God. In response to a question on verses 4:88-89, Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi quotes the verses in their full context and then asks the following:

Now tell me honestly, do these verses give a free permission to kill any one anywhere? These verses were revealed by God to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), at the time when Muslims were attacked by the non-Muslims of Makkah on a regular basis. They were frightening the Muslim community of Madinah. One may say using the contemporary jargon that there were constant terrorist attacks on Madinah and in this situation Muslims were given permission to fight back the “terrorist”. These verses are not a permission for “terrorism” but they are a warning against the “terrorists.” But even in these warnings you can see how much restraint and care is emphasized. (SOURCE, emphasis added)

It is also important to note that the Qur’an clearly condemns murder. The Qur’an says about the prohibition of murder,

6:151 Take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus does He command you, that ye may learn wisdom. 17:33 Nor take life, which God has made sacred, except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, We have given his heir authority (to demand Qisas(retribution) or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the law) 5:32…if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people

  16. "No compulsion in religion" is contradicted by the Quran verses 47:1 - 47:4 and 9:28 - 9:33. This implies that the verse was partially abrogated.

As it stands after all commands were given by Muhammad, the verse applies only to non Muslims living in subjugation under Islamic rule, paying Jizya to Muslim caliph. Even in that example in Medina where Bedouin was not killed, Muhammad refused to let him convert out, and he LEFT MEDINA.

  18. Quran 47:4 – “Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah’s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.”

    What is wrong in this?

Allah the sublime, is clearly telling the way an Army should behave during battle. Do you not see the words “until the war lays down its burdens”?

This is one verse where I don’t even need the context of verses ABOVE or BELOW to justify because it is so clear to justify.

If you are under an impression that this verse tells the Muslims to slaughter disbelievers under ALL circumstances then this article is of no use to you. You don’t pick a battle cry from a book and paint the entire book in the same color.

The fact that the verse specifically says “until the war lays down its burdens” means that the contextual limit which this verse imposes on the reader is the context of War. If you understand this and re-read the verse you will see that in just one verse Allah has laid several conditions and instructions that make this verse among the noblest verses that can be said during Battle.
This verse answers the following Questions –

    1. Who should you kill?

Kill the Disbelievers who have also rallied against you ready to fight and kill you.

    2. How do you know the disbelievers have also rallied before you to fight and kill?

A war is not a war if there is only one army and the verse cannot be more clearer that it is in the context of war because it says clearly “until the war lays down its burdens“.

    3. How should you kill?

“smite at their necks” – Strike at their necks giving them a Quick Death. Do not Mutilate, amputate, disfigure, rape, dishonor or let them bleed slowly to death or starve to death. You will be surprised when you read history and see what armies do before killing. Just read your own histories from whichever land you are. Among the several options that an army has to kill, this verse commands the Muslims to use ONLY ONE and FORBIDS ALL OTHER ways.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 4. Till when should you fight them?

Fight till you have “thoroughly subdued them” is what this verse commands us which is perfectly fair. Should you fight till you kill each and every one of them? Should you fight till you kill one or two people and return back further infuriating the enemy and prolonging the duration of war? This is foolish and Allah the Sublime gives a definite answer i.e Fight till they are “thoroughly subdued” meaning till they are not in a position to harm you.

    5. What should you do after you have Subdued them?

Should you kill them which is what many “federal” and “democratic” armies have done in the past? Should you imprison them and send to torture cells like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay like the USA did.

No! Allah the Sublime instructs us to “bind a bond firmly (on them)” which can mean two things. i.e Disarm them and take them Captive. It can also mean to bind them with a peace treaty which essentially prevents them from harming you again.

    6. What do you do with the Captives?

Again, do you kill them? or Rape them? or torture them? or destroy their homes, crops and properties? all which the modern armies are very experienced in doing. No! The answer which Allah gives in this verse is this, “thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom“.

This is the best part which the mischief mongers and seekers of hate overlook. I challenge you to search history and produce a Battle Speech which is better than this verse which has the element of “Mercy”, Generosity, conditions of stoppage of war, the purpose of going to war, the reward of going to war, the behavior during the war, all in such little words i.e in just one small verse you find all these things.

    ReplyDelete
  20. QURAN VERSE 47:4 IS AMONG THE BEST BATTLE SPEECHES and a verse which truly dictates peace by laying down strict and clear code of conduct for battles – you can certainly compare the battle speeches of famous historical figures and see what priorities they have during war.

Winston Churchill, 1940 to England –
“We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be… we shall never surrender!”

If defense was the only thing in mind then You don’t have to go to France to defend England. Well I do not know the details and I am sure there were other aspects. But where are the various elements of war that Quran verse 47:4 has?

George S Patton – A world war II senior officer of US army –
“I don’t care what color you are, so long as you go up there and kill those Kraut sons of bitches,..If you need me, you can always find me in the lead tank.” [761st Black Panther Tank Battalion]

Pope Urban II – says this to his Christian crusaders to fight against Muslims –
“Let those who have been accustomed unjustly to wage private warfare against the faithful now go against the infidels and end with victory this war which should have been begun long ago. Let those who for a long time, have been robbers, now become knights. Let those who have been fighting against their brothers and relatives now fight in a proper way against the barbarians. Let those who have been serving as mercenaries for small pay now obtain the eternal reward. Let those who have been wearing themselves out in both body and soul now work for a double honor. Behold! on this side will be the sorrowful and poor, on that, the rich; on this side, the enemies of the Lord, on that, his friends.”

Muslims are people who follow the instructions of Quran to the letter. Verse 47:4 is a hallmark as a battle guide and the best of speeches with a wisdom that can only be divine.

Fussilat 41:42], and which is all goodness, happiness and tranquility in this world and in the Hereafter should punish those who commit acts of aggression against it and seek to extinguish its light and defame its image, and who fabricate lies against it to justify their apostasy and deviation.

  22. Even in our very own country there is punishment to death for the following reasons:

1.If an individual who has been convicted of the commission of, attempt to commit, abetment of, or criminal conspiracy to commit any one of a range of offenses related to drug trafficking (e.g. trafficking of cannabis and opium) commits another offense related to the production, manufacture, trafficking, or financing of certain types and quantities of narcotic and psychotropic substances, he or she can be sentenced to death.

2.Waging or attempting to wage war against the government [18] and assisting officers, soldiers, or members of the Navy, Army, or Air Forces in committing mutiny are punishable by the death penalty.
    {treason can be compared to apostasy}

3.Espoinage. If this is seen from islamic perspective, at time of prophet many pagan would join islam just to act as spy and cause turbulence.

4.See this also from islamic perspective: The following offenses, if committed by a member of the Army, Navy, or Air Forces, are punishable by death: committing, inciting, conspiring to commit, or failing to suppress mutiny; [21] desertion or aiding desertion; [22] cowardice; treacherous acts; committing or inciting dereliction of duty; aiding the enemy; inducing individuals subject to military law not to act against the enemy; imperiling Indian or allied military, air, or naval forces in any way.

  23. Since I came to this site from another site "struggle for hindu existence" its reasonable to say that u are a hindu. So how would u explain the following verses of your religious script?

Manu 9:94. A man, aged thirty years, shall marry a maiden of twelve who pleases him, or a man of twenty-four a girl eight years of age; if (the performance of) his duties would (otherwise) be impeded, (he must marry) sooner.
Vishnu Purana III:10 If he marry,he must select a maiden who is of a third his age,one who has not too much hair, but is not without any,one who is not very black or yellow complexioned and who is not from birth a cripple or deformed...”
Mahabharata XLIV (p.18)A person of thirty years of age should wed a girl of ten years of age called a Nagnika. Or, a person of one and twenty years of age should wed a girl of seven years of age.
    SBE 14:Baudhayana:Prasna 4:Adhyaya1
    11. Let him give his daughter, while she still goes naked, to a man who has not broken the vow of chastity and who possesses good qualities, or even to one destitute of good qualities; let him not keep (the maiden) in (his house) after she has reached the age of puberty”

Sacred Laws of Arya:Gautama 18:21. A girl should be given in marriage before (she attains the age of) puberty
22.He who neglects it, commits sin
23.Some (declare, that a girl shall be given in marriage) before she wears clothes.

    SBE 14:Vasishtha:17:70
‘Out of fear of the appearance of the menses let the father marry his daughter while she still runs about naked. For if she stays (in the house) after the age of puberty, sin falls on the father”

  24. please dont take them as offensive. I just want to point out that you are finding faults in others while not seeing yours own. While we are answering your questions, it seems that u are not willing to understand. you are just reading islamophobic sites of christian missionaries and enjoying temporary joy.

Why are u asking questions about punishment of leaving islam when u are not even have entered it. Also those laws are applicable only in the islamic state which is today not present( don't think ISIS is islamic ).

There is no religio better , practical and sound than islam , if you compare.

Lets take christianity : there holy book is corrupted. Bible is more violent.
Hinduism: I have already asked questions in the previous comment.
Judaism: not applicable to us, since its for only chosen people.

Atheism: Most irrational, illogical. They believe that everything came from nothing.
They believe in bing bang but don't believe in the cause of it. In my view they are most arrogant. Half Knowledge is dangerous, everyone knows it.

Atlast please answer me regarding your own religion.

    1. //"Bible is more violent"//

The New Testament commands non-retaliation and separation of religion and state. The Old Testament commands are completely reinterpreted. Hence, the final message of Bible is NOT violence or cruelty.

About Hinduism, it is less strict, much easier to reform and hence it is far easier to throw away the old barbaric teachings.

  25. 047.001 Those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah, He renders their actions vain.
047.002 And those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He rids them of their ill-deeds and improves their state.
047.003 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and because those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus Allah coins their similitudes for mankind.
047.004 So when you meet those who disbelieve, (it is) striking the necks until, when you have subdued them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either free or ransom them once the war lays down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the way of Allah, He renders not their actions vain.

Here, the chapter is asking Muslims to kill the disbelievers whenever you meet them, until they are subdued. The justification for this brutality is that disbelievers follow "falsehood". A book of peace should never contain such a horrible mandate. This is clear aggression and cruelty.

PS: Specially notice how almost all translators have mistranslated 47:4 as "when you meet the disbelievers IN BATTLE".. the words "in battle" are absent in the original arabic verse.

"Until the war lays down its burdens" .. which war? The war that you just started by striking the necks of unbelievers when you meet them?

  27. Explanation for chapter 47:

Chapter 47 of the Quran, was revealed at a time when Muslims were getting persecuted, killed by the pagan Quraish, 1400 years ago. The verse was specifically revealed straight after some of the Muslims immigrated to Madinah, fleeing persecution. (Maududi)

Let’s start reading few verses before to get a better understanding:

47:1 Those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of God – He will waste their deeds.
47:2 And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad – and it is the truth from their Lord – He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.
47:3 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does God present to the people their comparisons.
47:4 So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of God – never will He waste their deeds.
Reading verse 1 of chapter 47, there is many ways in which others are prevented in believing in Islam.

    1. That a person is by force prevented in believing in Islam
    2. That a person is persecuted and it is difficult for one to remain steadfast on his faith. Meaning, the person is persecuted, oppressed so much so that he/she will eventually leave his religion.

Reading verse 4 of chapter 47 of the Quran, the passage was revealed at a time in Madinah, when people were told to fight against tyranny and persecution, 1400 years ago. When we take a closer look towards the end of the verse it says, “those who are killed in the cause of Allah”, these same words are used in the following verses of the Quran,

Quran 2:190 Fight in the way of God those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. God does not like transgressors.

Quran 2:246 Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses when they said to a prophet of theirs, “Send to us a king, and we will fight in the way of God“? He said, “Would you perhaps refrain from fighting if fighting was prescribed for you?” They said, “And why should we not fight in the cause of God when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?” But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And God is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

Quran 4:75 And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?”

So, reading the above verses it becomes evident that Q 47:4 does not encourage violence against the innocent. This shows, Quran 47:4 was revealed to fight in God’s cause in order to free people from oppression and tyranny, 1400 years ago.

  29. You are asking the wrong questions Jawad. I have had countless discussions with Muslims and have read so many apologetic articles. These matters come up in day to day discussions i have with them.

You said "the death penalty is for spreading corruption". Thats the catch. According to Islam, disbelief and polytheism are the worst corruptions. As such, people who spread those things can be subjected to death. Especially if they are ex Muslims.

No decent government curbs freedom of religion like this. Muslims in their majority countries do this because that is the only way something so terribly evil like Islam can survive. Islam cannot stand up to criticism. It is founded on lies and oppression.

  31. Chapter 47 was "revealed" after Muslims migrated to Medina. Although there were many cases of persecution, it was not like every disbeliever was persecuting Muslims at Mecca.

The chapter 47:1- 47:4 makes it clear that disbelievers follow falsehood THEREFORE when you meet them, kill them. It does not say "fight them because they were persecuting you".

Muslims are the aggressors here. Only a twisted mind can invent the kind of mindless defense that you just gave with no evidence.

    Here are the verses:

047.001 Those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah, He renders their actions vain.
047.002 And those who believe and do good works and believe in that which is revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He rids them of their ill-deeds and improves their state.

  32. I already mentioned the correct translation of those aayahs

47-1 47:1 Those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of God – He will waste their deeds.

Reading verse 1 of chapter 47, there is many ways in which others are prevented in believing in Islam.

    2. That a person is persecuted and it is difficult for one to remain steadfast on his faith. Meaning, the person is persecuted, oppressed so much so that he/she will eventually leave his religion.

So spreading mischief is preventing others to follow right path.

See the more elaborate meaning of "spreading mischief " at https://discover-the-truth.com/2014/10/05/quran-533-the-punishment-of-those-who-wage-war/

The word battle is added there according to the context.

    1. Jawad Mirza - you asshole it seems like you are the only one who knows islam.. I have studied your quran and about your Muhammad also and believe me islam is the worst thing that happened to mankind.
ok tell me why did muhamaad married a 6 year old girl Aisha and had sex with her at 9. what kind of prophet does that? and don't you dare call it false because famous muslim scholars around the world say that it is true.
wait I am giving you proof.
Sahih Muslim (8:3309) - Muhammad consummated his marriage to Aisha when she was only nine. (See also Sahih Bukhari 58:234 and many other places). No where in the reliable Hadith or Sira is there any other age given. Other references are Sahih Bukhari 3896, 5158 and 3311.

Sahih Bukhari (62:18) - Aisha's father, Abu Bakr, wasn't on board at first, but Muhammad explained how the rules of their religion made it possible. This is similar to the way that present-day cult leaders manipulate their followers into similar concessions.

Sahih Muslim (8:3311) - The girl took her dolls with her to Muhammad's house (something to play with when the "prophet" was not having sex with her).

Sahih Bukhari (6:298) - Muhammad would take a bath with the little girl and fondle her.

Sahih Muslim (8:3460) - "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you could sport with her and she sport with you, or you could amuse with her and she could amuse with you?" Muhammad posed this question to one of his followers who had married an "older woman" instead of opting to fondle a child.

Sahih Bukhari (4:232) - Muhammad's wives would wash semen stains out of his clothes, which were still wet from the spot-cleaning even when he went to the mosque for prayers. Between copulation and prayer, it's a wonder he found the time to slay pagans.

Sahih Bukhari (6:300) - Muhammad's wives had to be available for the prophet's fondling even when they were having their menstrual period.

Sahih Bukhari (93:639) - The Prophet of Islam would recite the 'Holy Quran' with his head in Aisha's lap, when she was menstruating.

Sahih Bukhari (62:6) - "The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives." Muhammad also said that it was impossible to treat all wives equally - and it isn't hard to guess why.

Sahih Bukhari (5:268) - "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, 'Had the Prophet the strength for it?' Anas replied, 'We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty men.' "

Sahih Bukhari (60:311) - "I feel that your Lord hastens in fulfilling your wishes and desires." These words were spoken by Aisha within the context of her husband having been given 'Allah's permission' to fulfill his sexual desires with a large number of women in whatever order he chooses. (It has been suggested that Aisha may have been speaking somewhat wryly).

Sahih Muslim (8:3424) - One of several narrations in which a leering Muhammad orders a clearly startled woman to suckle a grown man with her breast so that he will become "unlawful" to her - meaning that they can live under the same roof together.

    2. and what do you have to say about this?

"Muhammad is a narcissist, a pedophile, a mass murderer,
      a terrorist, a misogynist, a lecher, a cult leader, a madman
a rapist, a torturer, an assassin and a looter."

Former Muslim Ali Sina offered $50,000 to anyone
who could prove this wrong based on Islamic texts.

      The reward has gone unclaimed

  33. Jawad Mirza, one can avert people from "the way of Allah" in a persuasive manner.

At any rate, the verse 47:4 is general in stating "when you meet the disbelievers (whether they are peaceful or violent), it is striking the necks until you have made wide slaughter on them..
